What inspired Benjamin Blum to dedicate his life to serving humanity as a thought leader and health educator?

Dedicating your life to a noble cause is glorious, and the ultimate goal is to do something to make this world a better place for people to live. Our global health care system has worked the same way for centuries, and we have a pre-established notion of what health care is in our society. We do not realize that these preconceived notions are wrong unless we look the other way. Thought leader and system innovator Benjamin Blum shows a different way. He is disrupting the medical system to make it better and more efficient.

Growing up in Nova Scotia, Canada, Benjamin used to climb trees and run in fields. Playing with Lego was a favorite pastime of him and his peers. There he learned about commerce, trade and strategy. Living and growing up in a small town also meant that he had little information or contact with the outside world. Benjamin was a good football player and played college level football, Acadia He played for the Athletics with a team that won several competitions.

Being at Acadia Athletics exposed him to the world of fitness and kept him fit and healthy until he tore his ACL. This brutal knee injury forced him off the field, and after experiencing not just physical pain but an identity crisis, he finally found his direction by becoming a teacher and coach.

With a degree in kinesiology from Acadia University, it’s no surprise he quickly became the head strength and conditioning coach of the men’s Acadia hockey team. Studying the field of kinesiology made him more empowered to make a difference in the healthcare system and empowered him to start a conversation around it.

When the pandemic hit, Benjamin realized that the quality of education offered online was declining, so he committed to using his gap year to help tackle the pandemic on the front lines. His dedication to helping others is shown in the fact that for five consecutive months he worked 12-hour shifts at a local vaccination clinic to help people. This also helped him gain information and knowledge about the inner workings of the healthcare system.

He quickly discovered a flaw in the system and began looking for a way to fix it. This has made it easier for people to access the best possible healthcare. This is why he is actively making connections through his LinkedIn account and attending several Zoom meetings. You can listen to their thoughts and take them seriously.

Benjamin intends to be the voice of concern for a declining and flawed healthcare system. He won’t sit still until he’s an authority on making things easier and better for everyone.
