BREANNA HANLEY/THE EXPRESS Recently, Confer’s Jewelers had a three-day grand opening in its new location with a huge turnout.

BELLEFONTE — Confer’s Jewelers has moved to a new location at 1074 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, just off I-99 Exit 83.

Monteca Confer Beisel, whose parents started Confer’s Jewelers in 1977, bought it and has been in the business with her husband ever since.

The new location has many improvements since last time, with more indoor space and more photo opportunities. There’s even a section for kids to entertain themselves while their parents shop.

Confer Beisel said: “We are really excited to have more space for everyone to come and enjoy together. There are so many good photo opportunities outside…I hope people will enjoy visiting us.”

One of the big improvements with Space is the addition of parking next to the store. There are 37 parking spaces, each with a unique and humorous sign.

“Reserved for Jewelry Lovers” and “Help! Trapped inside Confer’s showcase. Free us!” are the two signs in front of the parking space.

Acquisition of the space took place over a year and a half, according to Confer Beisel. She and her husband designed the entire building themselves, from the windows to the showroom.

The exterior of the building features #ConfersCouple, a gorgeous mural with the words “Leave a little sparkle wherever you go” and an archway in front of diamond-shaped windows for photo opportunities. I have.

The shop is closed Mondays and Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 5pm, Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, and Thursdays from 10am to 7pm.
