Nearly 20 positions filled at Prince Albert, Nipawin and La Longe online schooling campuses

A principal was hired on the Nipawin campus, and four of the seven teaching positions were filled.

As for the La Ronge campus, the state has already hired a principal and nine teachers, and plans to hire one more teacher.

Saskatchewan Minister of Education Dustin Duncan said: “We look forward to bringing together top talent from across the state to provide high-quality, flexible online education to our students, no matter where they live in the state.”

The state also plans to hire student support staff for each campus. They provide direct support to students in person or online.

We are also hiring for finance, information technology, human resources and communications.

Meanwhile, students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 can enroll online.

You can choose to be a full-time or part-time online student. They continue to connect with their local school district and have access to local supports and activities, such as speech-language pathologists and educational psychology assessments.

The Sask DLC is also free for all children under the age of 22.

Sask DLC CEO Darren Gasper said: “More courses means more opportunities for students to find subjects they love and prepare for future success.”
