Sevik Catherine Mary (née Peller), 80, from St. Paul and resident of St. Anthony, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 14, recognizing the religious and personal values of raising five children. Her other interests included sewing and having a colorful flower garden. She was born on August 24, 1942, in St. She was raised in Merriam, St. Paul, in her Park district, St. She earned a degree in elementary education from St. Mark Elementary School, Central High School, and the University of Minnesota, St. She Paul. I got a teaching job at a university. At Paul’s school, her father, James Peller Sr., taught for her 36 years. Her sister Lavonne (surviving), who now lives in Orlando, Florida, also taught at St. Paul. While teaching in Munster, Indiana, Katherine met her future husband, Joseph, who also survived. She returned to the Twin Cities in 1973 so they could support their family. Her husband of 54 years, Joseph, was by her side for 38 years as he worked as a copy editor at her pioneer press in St. Paul. In her later years, Katherine, he helped her 24/7 to combat multiple sclerosis and provide every support she needed to endure. Her entire family, along with the Plum and Swanson families of Minneapolis, have given their love and support. The contributions of compassionate medical professionals and dedicated caregivers are essential and the family is deeply grateful for them. She was predeceased by her father and mother Dorothy Peller, and by her brothers James, John and Jerry. Her surviving children are Thomas Carney. The visit will take place on Monday, May 22, from 5-8 p.m. at the Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel at 2610, 19th Avenue NE, Minneapolis. A Christian Burial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 23, and visitation will begin at 9:30 am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton. A private funeral will be held at Fort Martin on Thursday, May 25. Snelling National Cemetery. The family prefers the memorial to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
