Backstroke swimming technique by Mikita Tsumi
courtesy of Gary Hall Sr.10-time world record holder, 3-time Olympian, US flag bearer at the 1976 Olympics, and co-founder of The Race Club.
Mikita Tsumi represented Belarus at the 2016 and 2021 Olympics and has outstanding backstroke swimming skills. We had the opportunity to work with Mikita using their smart paddle and speedometer technology. Although Mikita has very good coupling motion, stroke rate, and head and body position in the backstroke stroke, we found that his pulling motion could be improved. In this video, Gary Hall his senior analyzes some simple mistakes Mikita makes and gauges exactly how much damage they are doing to him. WORLD CLASS, AGE RANGE, MASTER OF RACE His Club helps swimmers of all levels and abilities learn to swim faster and improve their technique.
